Internet toaster: frying high resolution

That they didn’t just fry bread in the past: the temperature outside the window, the weather forecast, and even the Dow Jones index. But technology does not stand still, and recently Electrolux has introduced a new masterpiece: Scan Toaster , which can fry bread with super-high resolution. The toaster is connected to the computer via USB and can download any information for frying, including photos or text.



It uses a fairly advanced technology. Inside the toaster there is a grid of movable modules of a special form, each of which is heated by a separate metal core and can move in two planes. It moves horizontally to the place of “seal”, and is also able to rotate around its axis by 30º.

The device won the Electrolux Design Lab08 design competition. Unfortunately, the mass production of such toasters is not planned yet.
