I recently purchased headphones, but they didn’t have a thing I was accustomed to for years, namely, a wheel for quick sound adjustment. It is not very convenient to use the tracker in the tray, and I often have to change the volume. I began searching for a program that will help me, and I found her name -
Volumouse .
It turned out to be tiny -
~ 85kb .
The main program window looks like this:

On the left, select the key or combination that you want to press in conjunction with scrolling the wheel.
Then you can choose what exactly we will change:

In the next drop-down list of left / right / all channels, or a complete shutdown.
Finally, choose the step with which the change will occur.
As you can see in the screenshots, as a key, I chose “Ctrl”, when you press and scroll the wheel, this volume level indicator appears near the cursor:

By the way, it also has its own options (I left everything by default):

There is a Russian interface. Autostart And of course it is free.
The latest version is August 4, 2008, at number
1.57 .

By the way, I saw on the site that there are several plug-ins for it, which allow:
- minimizing / maximizing the active application using hotkeys
- resizing the active window
- open / close CD-ROM
I hope that someone will come in handy.
