Acer Liquid Z630S review: technology long-lived
In September 2015, the Taiwanese company Acer released a budget smartphone Acer Liquid Z630, and six months later, at MWC 2016 in Barcelona, showed an improved S-version of this device - Acer Liquid Z630S. In it, the developers have increased the amount of RAM and improved the processor, and also retained the original software features like Acer Bluelight Shield, reducing the intensity of the blue color on the screen and DTS Studio Sound technology, which provides high quality sound. Another advantage is that the smartphone has become attributed to long-livers, since it has a 4000 mAh battery installed on it, which provides good autonomy.

Small details and text are really not quite smooth - pixelation is visible - but this pixel density is quite enough for comfortable use in a variety of tasks, and from the “pluses” - a screen with a lower resolution consumes less system resources and battery power, which increases the autonomy of the smartphone.
On the Acer Liquid Z630S there is an interesting feature of the Acer Bluelight Shield, which allows to reduce the intensity of the blue color of the display. One of the options for using the mode will be its inclusion before bedtime, to “calm” the nervous system (here was an article on this topic). Also, this mode is recommended to use when reading in order to reduce eye strain.
The maximum brightness of the display is not enough for use in bright sunshine, but in most cases (room, cloudy weather) the picture is clear and well distinguishable. The minimum brightness threshold allows you to comfortably look at the screen in complete darkness.
In addition to the basic Android 5.1, the company generously supplied the Acer Liquid Z630S with proprietary software. On all models of the line, there is an Acer QuickMode interface that prompts the user to choose one of three display modes - standard (this is normal Android, familiar to experienced users), simplified (for those who have not yet mastered) and basic (very simple mode, even for children). Well, the package Acer Aid Kit, power management and the leading statistics of battery consumption, as well as tracking the level of memory usage. With this package, you can also quickly back up data and restore it later.
As for the iron, the Acer Liquid Z630S received a 64-bit eight-core MediaTek MT6753 processor operating at a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, there is a built-in storage capacity of 32 GB. Despite the fact that the device is gaining average points in synthetic performance tests, in everyday work the processor power is more than enough: the interface does not slow down, applications run quickly, the animation in the system is smooth.
You can use the Acer Liquid Z630S and for games. The Asphalt 8 racing simulator went great, the only disadvantage was only a slight body heat.
The smartphone supports two SIM cards, both micro formats, both connectors work with LTE networks. There is a full set of wireless interfaces: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS.
The main feature of the smartphone is high autonomy: the capacity of its battery is quite impressive (by modern standards) 4000 mAh. The manufacturer promises 21 hours of talk time and 710 hours in standby mode, and in our test for continuous video playback (on the way to Minsk), the Acer Liquid Z630S lasted eight hours at maximum screen brightness - this is an excellent result, indicating a really high autonomy . This was confirmed “in the field”: in active use mode (Internet, reading, camera, applications), the smartphone works without recharging for at least one and a half to two days.
The developers from Acer understand how important the gadget's selfie camera is now, so both Acer Liquid Z630S cameras — both the main and the front ones — received a resolution of 8 MP.
