Waiting for miracles
Impossible miracles.
I look into the darkness
But I do not believe in progress.
I want to be a killer
I want to be alive.
I just left
Live to gray hair.

A worn out audio cassette is spinning, guitars are discordantly humming, a voice sings, in which the uncontrollable merriment of the condemned to death is felt; Unknown album of Egor Letov? Just a strange name: “Neural Defense” ...
No, this is a modern styling project for “Civil Defense”, made with the help of a computer neural network.
The authors of the project are
Alexey Tikhonov and
Ivan Yamshchikov , who created with the help of like-minded people:
Pavel Gertman and
Ilya Yedrenkin .

After reviewing the achievements of modern neural networks, which can
draw a picture and
compose a verse , Ivan immediately set himself the goal of using stylized computer technologies to stylize a cult poet.
After going through famous poets, from Pushkin to Kharms, the comrades decided instead of simply reading the poems received from the neural network to record an entire musical album, in which small poems will be interspersed with musical compositions, also created on computer verses.
The founder of the immortal "Civil Defense" Yegor Letov with his "garage" sound and absurd poems, in the opinion of the conspirators, fit perfectly. True, Ivan was faced with unforeseen difficulties, trying to reproduce the authentic sound of the team on modern equipment. Fuzes and guitars refused to “rightly” rattle, Ivan’s home drum machine didn’t knock right.
The necessary sound was selected by trial and error, as well as the unique structure of the pioneers of Russian rock pioneers of the 80s, “at which the upper and the lower strings diverged by semitones,” according to the author of the project. As a result, the album contains poems by Alexei and songs with the vocals of Ivan, who tried to sing "under Egor."
Instead of reproducing the original and rather complicated method of mixing with two tape recorders, in which the basses sometimes disagreed with the drums, the guys added authenticity by simply overtaking the resulting tape recording and then digitizing it back.
At the same time, according to them, an audio cassette was used, on which songs “GO” were recorded earlier. A little occult still harmed no one. Pavel Gertman is responsible for choosing an audio cassette, digitizing the album and drawing it, to the best of psychedelic cover. Ilya Edrenkin helped like-minded people to cope with the neural network.
The friends' album was posted absolutely free of charge on
Yandex.Music ,
iTunes , Google.Play and Amazon Music, where they can be enjoyed without fail.
I wonder if the unforgettable Boris Borisovich will be concerned about this news? His texts are all the same, except for him, are not clear to anyone. Will not artificial intelligence, except
truckers and
seamstresses , also send songwriters to retire soon? ..
A robot from Yandex back in 2006 demonstrated the possibility of auto-generating poetry with stylization under Pushkin, and in 2013, Avtopoet began writing poetry based on search queries.
From 2015, these “works” can be heard “performed by the author,” that is, using the voice generation system.
