published an order according to which eSports is entered in the register of officially recognized sports in Russia. The order on the recognition of "computer sports" will take effect 10 days after the publication of the document.
Now, cybersport events held in Russia can be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Sport. And cybersportsmen will be able to receive such titles as “Master of Sports of Russia”, “Master of Sports of International Class” and “Honored Master of Sports of Russia”.
Unfortunately, the published document does not indicate which competition in e-sports will be supervised by the Ministry. Also not specified standards that allow you to get the above sports titles. The order states the following:
Recognize and include in the first section of the All-Russian Register of Sports - recognized sports (with the exception of military-applied, service-applied, national sports, as well as sports developed at the all-Russian level) sports "computer sports" with the type code number Sport 1240002411M.

It is interesting that eSports is not included in the All-Russian register of sports for the first time. The first time it happened in 2001, and computer sports was in the registry until 2006, after which it was removed from the list by order of the head of Rossport Vyacheslav Fetisov.
Computer sports can be included in the list of Olympic disciplines. Thus, in April of this year, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) presented to the International Federation of Cybersport (IeSF) the so-called “road map” for including cybersport in the list of Olympic disciplines.
In order for video game competitions to receive Olympic status, the organizers of such competitions need to prove that eSports has a long tradition, as well as an acceptable level of popularity and development, international recognition,
