If we develop this idea a little, it would be interesting to store the list of contacts on the operator’s server and there already assign a different status to the user. For example, if a person is out of reach or his phone is turned off, he would be marked as inaccessible and then before going through the contacts, the caller would know that the subscriber he needed is out of reach and there is no point in calling him, etc. It turns out such a symbiosis of the capabilities of the messenger and mobile device.

Of course, such an idea would require some reorganization of the servers of the mobile operator, but it would be very convenient, as it seems to me.
