Pump Express 3.0 technology: charging the battery from 0 to 70% in just 20 minutes
Despite the fact that over the past few years, mobile devices have become even more powerful and functional, they still have the same problem - the need for frequent recharging. This is because a qualitative change in the direction of improving the production technology of batteries has not yet received.
Mobile devices use the same Li-Ion batteries as a few years ago. They may have become a little more sophisticated, but their charge lasts for about the same period of operation of the phone (tablet) as before. And now the question is not so much in the capacity of the battery as in the speed of charging the battery - here the companies could still move forward. ')
MediaTek, a well-known manufacturer of electronic components, offered its own battery charging technology, called Pump Express 3.0 . The company claims that this technology allows you to charge the battery from 0 to 70% in just 20 minutes. To connect a mobile device is proposed to use a USB Type-C cable.
Due to this, a two-way communication is formed, and the phone can “inform” if the battery is already full. In addition, the system automatically adjusts to the characteristics of the mobile device's battery.
When charging using USB-C, the current goes directly from the adapter to the battery. The standard charging circuit inside the device is not used. The developers claim that the device will not overheat - there are about 20 different device protection systems. Energy leakage is reduced by more than 50% compared to the previous version of charging.
