The victim of the robbery saw the offender in the Facebook block "you can know them." The criminal was caught, taken away to the victim was returned
Omar Famuyad is clearly not happy that he was caught.
Social networks can be dangerous or just harmful. But they can help out in difficult times. The Facebook feature “People You May Know” helped the Birmingham police catch the robber. The function itself
is a “Facebook section, which shows people you may know. We show you people on the basis of the fact that you have mutual friends, information about education or place of work, you are in the same communities, and also on the basis of contacts imported through the search function of friends, and many other factors. ”

Omar Famuyide, a 21-year-old robber from Birmingham,
has already received his 17 years in prison for robbery and theft. One of the victims of Omar saw the criminal in the block mentioned above just a couple of days after the robbery. The attacker hijacked the car in front of the owner.
Instead of adding a criminal to his friends and starting to demand his car from him, the victim of the robbery turned to the police. She checked the identity of the alleged perpetrator, and found that a long train of robberies with firearms was being dragged behind him.
In a stolen car, Omar Famuyad kept a revolver that was used in the robbery a month earlier.
According to police, finding evidence of guilt was not difficult. Before Omar's victim went to the police, law enforcement officers had already chained several crimes, finding out that they had been committed by the same person. But the identity of this person could not be found. And an unexpected case with a social network allowed to identify the offender.
Interestingly, the social network itself, some users have long suspected of eavesdropping and peeping. For example, a number of Facebook users believe that the FB mobile app listens to their conversations, and then
shows ads on the keywords of the conversation (for example, car, travel, etc.).
