After 40 years, the Post of Russia delivered the letter to the addressee in Tomsk

Picky customers of Chinese online stores sometimes complain that the package goes to them for two or three months.

And what do you say to a little Soviet boy from the village of Gromyshevka of the Tomsk Region, who in 1975 sent a letter to his 15-year-old sister Ekaterina Denisova in Tomsk asking to buy compasses in the city? A letter (in the photo) came to the address indicated after 40 years , reports the news agency RIA "Novosti".

Last year, a woman, a relative of Catherine Denisova, took the letter: “She was 15 years old then, she moved to Tomsk to study, and then he was 8-9 years old, he attended school in Gromyshevka (a village in the Zyryansky district). There he writes how they are doing, and writes “send me a compass”. In the village did not get it, apparently. The letter has been hanging around for 40 years, ”she said. “Interestingly, the same letter lay somewhere, and more importantly, they sent it after so much time.”

The letter is stamped "USSR Mail". For some reason, the reporter did not check the date on the stamp and therefore it is not yet possible to say when exactly the letter was sent: it happened in 1975 or 1976.

It is known that such envelopes with the image of the Tomsk house officers released in 1975 ( lot on the site of collectors).

A representative of the Post of Russia said that the post office 634004 of the city of Tomsk was closed more than 20 years ago. The branch of the Post of Russia intends to conduct an internal investigation of this fact, as soon as it receives an envelope with stamps.

The man who sent the letter, according to the agency interlocutor, still lives in the Zyryansky district of the Tomsk region, he is about 50 years old.
