I
downloaded iTunes 8 in a matter of minutes (I was primarily interested in Janius, in general I use it mostly for working with all kinds of icons and sorts of things) after the link appears on the Apple website, and I hasten to share my impressions.
The overall interface has changed slightly: only a couple of new buttons in the lower right corner.

However, by default, the music section opens in a somewhat unusual way:

I was somewhat strained by the inscription on the Genius sidebar (Genius sidebar is not available in your country) and was not at all pleased with a bunch of albums without a cover (I have a lot of random music from the same staped out indexed, and of course I don’t intend to select each song by its cover).
A minute later, I noticed another album scattered (not unified into a collection) and I was going to unite it. And I ran into a new tag editing window, which introduced me to utter stupor:

The flag of the union in the collection moved to the fourth tab. Added a lot of strange options.
Then I decided to still try to jenius. Choosing it in the tree on the left, I found that it can still be cut. Agreeing with all sorts of terms, I allowed the aytyuns to transfer my entire library to ityuns store. And I realized that this is a
long time. Therefore, I decided to see a new visualization. Hmmm Sphereki fly and sausage to the music. A rather correct and beautiful reaction both to low frequencies and to high-frequency noises ... But after a few minutes I got bored - nothing new happened.
For now. And the genius thinks everything, slowing down the injector himself and the system. I will try to write about it, how it works.
upd1: Hooray, the genius has finished parsing thousands of albums, and I was finally able to experience his capabilities.
It works quite simply. Turn on the melody and click on the Genius button in the lower right corner, after which we are offered a selection of “similar songs”

It works through the database on the network, probably. The quality of the selection is quite nothing, although I would not call it perfect. And d'n'bshnye Pendulum, and even ATB got to the terribly brain-twisting shponglu. Picks are different all the time, and generally within the direction, but not the genre. I think that if I listen to a chillout, then I don’t need to offer anything from dark psi after all.
Plus, there can be a lot of things in one album and nothing in the next. Strange.

upd2: please explain to me the connection of psitrans and matrix soundtrack :)
