The author of the YouTube channel was tired of waiting for Google’s reward for the number of subscribers, smelted it himself and made a video about it.
Cody Don Reeder, author of the popular YouTube channel Cody's Labs , specializes in videos of various chemical experiments. Despite some specificity of the channel, it is very popular with the audience, and about 7 months ago the number of Cody's subscribers exceeded 100,000 people. According to YouTube’s rules, the author of such a channel receives a symbolic (physically existing, which can be touched) silver Silver Play Button; The next stage - the Gold Button Gold Play Button - is assigned for reaching the 1 million followers mark. For some unknown reason, after more than six months, Cody did not wait for his award from YouTube. Because of this, he decided to correct the situation on his own and smelt a well-deserved trophy, at the same time using this occasion to plot a new educational video for his channel. As it turned out earlier from the study of the chemical composition of the silver button by another author, the award from Google is in fact not a pure silver, but an alloy of tin, zinc and nickel. Therefore, Cody decided to do it differently: he smelted a button of pure silver and took a detailed video about that process:

Cody decided not to hang the resulting remark on the wall in his office, but simply to sell on Amazon - he estimated his work at $ 46.50. At the same time, the number of subscribers to the Cody's Lab channel continues to grow steadily further - now their number exceeds 250,000 people. So far, it is not clear whether Cody intends to also make a replica of the Golden Button of pure gold from the YouTube button, if the number of subscribers exceeds a million people and YouTube again forgets to mark the achievement accordingly.
