The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the USA right now is conducting an online broadcast of the study of the Mariana Trench. Its depth is 11 kilometers, and the vessel Okeanos Explorer surveys this geological structure.

Commenting on what is happening (in English) oceanologists, some of which are on the shore, and some - on the ship. In a short time of study, scientists have already discovered a starfish, sponges, sea cucumber (rather unusual), strange fish and a couple of other organisms.

Let me remind you that the other day information was published about a very unusual jellyfish found in the Mariana Trench. Earlier, experts discovered fish at a depth of 8143 meters - this is the official record of deep-sea fish.
