For 29 years, no link between brain cancer and mobile phones has been found.

Specialists from the University of Sydney analyzed the occurrence of brain cancer in Australians, where, according to the law, the occurrence of this disease is mandatory for registration, from 1987 to 2012. It turned out that over time there was a very small increase in the number of cancer cases in men, while in women it remained constant. The work was published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology.

The work involved cases of brain cancer cases of 19858 men and 14222 women. Over the past 20 years, the number of mobile phone users has increased dramatically - in 1993, they used 3% of people, today this percentage is close to 90. At the same time, adjusted for age, the number of cases of brain cancer in people aged 20 to 84 years per 100,000 people almost did not change.

Researchers have found an increase in the number of cancer cases in people over 70 years old - but this increase began as early as 1982, when there were no mobile phones. Most likely, it is more logical to associate it with the improvement of diagnostic methods.

In principle, the results of the study are not surprising, since a cancer tumor can be earned only from fairly strong ionizing radiation, while the radiation from mobile phones is too weak for this. But since the use of these devices in society, disputes over their possible harm to the body have not abated.

Since in Australia the law prescribes the mandatory registration of all cases of cancer, and there is access to statistics on the use of mobile phones, the authors may argue that mobile phones do not lead to brain tumors. Mobile phones appeared in the country in 1987, many people use them for 20 years or more, while the number of cases of tumors has not increased compared with the base.

So, if cell phones represent any danger to life, it is only in those cases when you forget to distract from them, crossing the road .
