The spring-summer season of hiking and picnics is starting very soon, so I decided to tell you how to curb solar energy for the needs of your favorite gadgets at low cost. Namely, it will be a question of the solar battery and a variant of its use together with a backpack.

On Giktayms already wrote about Yolk (
here ) - "solar" charging station. The concept is really very interesting, but $ 120 for such a miracle the
toad is smothering in my opinion. If we consider the existing solar panels and components for them, it turns out much cheaper: for example, a solar panel of ~ $ 4, a voltmeter of ~ $ 2.
At the time of writing this article, there was unfortunately no time for sealing and developing its own “Yolk counterpart”, so I had to run through the expanses of “Chinese boutiques”.
The choice fell on a 4-panel solar battery for $ 27 (at the same time to this business bought a new backpack for $ 31). I did not meet five-panel solar cells, but there were three-panel ones. Their price differs by $ 8-10, so the choice was obvious. There were also panels with built-in power bank, but much more expensive (almost 2 times). Given that I had a stock bank, I refused such an option. The backpack was selected with such an account that USB wiring could be dragged into the pocket, where the poverbank and any gadgets that require constant recharge will be stored.

Solar panels are sewn into a water-repellent material, on top of the solar panels is a waterproof film. Therefore, they can be safely hung on a backpack in any weather.

The panels are folded into a rather compact version - the format of the purse. This is certainly not thrown into the book, unlike Yolk, but in general it is convenient to take with you.

As for power generation, it roughly corresponds to the promotional picture from the Yolk website:

Photo tests under different light load. Summarizing, we can say that the device is successful and quite useful. The technical characteristics are not much inferior to Yolk. In the field, I managed to test it a couple of times. It was quite enough for the day to charge your small trust bank and in the evening to recharge the gadgets from it. During the day, the gadgets were exploited, so they did not charge them directly.
Thanks to the solar batteries, I solved the issue of electricity in the campaigns. Now I am wondering what useful device can be created (soldered) for hiking and active walks, in order to fully utilize this energy. Discuss?
PS: At the moment I can not respond to comments.
I solve the problem with technical support giktayms.
