The first release candidate for OpenOffice.org 3.0
Yesterday the first release candidate for OpenOffice.org 3.0 was released.

From his first tests, the win version of the candidate (actually tested only 10 minutes, for work ...):
1. Runs clearly faster than the 2007 office.
2. Documents format 2007 opens (especially complex and tricky files did not open, but in simple without any complaints it preserves the formatting).
3. The Quickstarter hangs constantly in the tray (even after the program is closed) and “eats” about 100 MB of memory (I don’t recall anything in version 2.4, although I really did not use much).
At home, I will test another version for Linux and already specifically compare with 2.4 for speed characteristics.
