HP has released a laptop beating fresh 19-hour Dell record (Latitude E series). More precisely, we are talking about the additional configuration of the recently appeared on the market EliteBook 6930p , the life of which from one recharge "ultra-capacious battery" is 24 hours.
The upgrade of the EliteBook 6930p includes a new HP Illumi-Lite LED display, an Intel 80 GB SSD solid-state drive (optional) and a new 12-cell Ultra Capacity Battery. To achieve the desired result (those 24 hours of work), the laptop user will need to additionally download the new BIOS from HP and the drivers for the integrated video from Intel. New buyers, of course, will get everything at once.
The weight of the laptop in the original configuration is 2.1 kg. The new battery will add another 0.8 kg. The price of the battery is $ 189. So in this case there is a choice. It is easier and cheaper (the original without SSD costs $ 1199) or is more expensive and heavier, but the whole day (according to the manufacturer) works.
