Autopilot Tesla Model S saved his driver from a collision with a truck
Robo cars on the roads a lot. These are Google's robotic cars, Mercedes trucks, Volvo cars, even KAMAZ trucks. The developers of such systems claim that a car with computer control drives along the roads quite well - the computer drives the car as well as a person (perhaps better in some cases, but this is not very actively spoken about yet). True, sometimes roboomobili get into an accident. Frequently through the fault of drivers-people of other cars, or through their own fault, as in the case of the Google Mobile and the bus .
But there are examples when the autopilot helped a man out of trouble. For example, a few days ago, the Tesla Model S autopilot noticed what a human driver had not seen and helped avoid a collision with a truck. While driving on the highway, the Model S driver left the autopilot mode on, and this allowed the drivers to stay healthy plus avoid vehicle damage.

The truck is clearly visible on the recording made by the DVR. His driver wanted to change lanes to the extreme right, and the owner of the Tesla S did not pay attention to the truck. The consequences of such a collision could be the most sad, the electric car would definitely be badly damaged.
But the autopilot dodged the collision, and nothing bad happened. By the way, last year a similar situation happened in Moscow, when Tesla was clipped a taxi.
For the first time, the autopilot system of electric vehicles was introduced by Tesla Motors in October 2015. At the moment, cars with such a system have already rolled about 80 million km.
