The statistics of the site Habrahabr.ru for seven days from September 2 to September 8, 2008 shows that Google Chrome ranked third in the list of the most popular browsers among our users (by the number of sessions). The first place is occupied by Firefox (38.74%), the second - by Opera (20.94%). Internet Explorer browser moved up to fourth place (9.08%), yielding Chrome (11.94%) by almost three percentage points.

By the way, about the same thing happens on TechCrunch . There, too, the proportion of Chrome is much higher than the average for the Internet, although it is far from Habrakhabr’s indicators. In general, probably, by the share of the Chrome browser, you can quite accurately measure the “degree of geekiness” of the site.
