Toshiba replaces defective batteries in laptops produced in 2011-2015
Toshiba announced a voluntary recall in order to replace the batteries that were manufactured and used in some Toshiba laptops, sold between June 2011 and December 31, 2015 in different countries of the world, including Russia and Ukraine.
“Toshiba sold these batteries in new laptops, as well as additional or replacement batteries. Since there is a possibility of overheating of the batteries covered by this program, they may pose a risk of burns or fire, ”the announcement says on the official website.
Toshiba offers to replace such batteries for free, their serial numbers start with G71C (G71C *******). List of laptop models that could be sold with a defective battery ( pdf )
