Russian Railways and Pochta Rossii are now testing a national instant messenger for business, TASS
reports . This software product is called “Sibrus”, and its main advantage is a strong encryption system. Communication takes place not only in text mode: the messenger allows you to talk in voice and establish a conference call. It is possible to share files, users get at their disposal a cloud storage of data.
“There are pilot projects in large organizations: in the Russian Railways and in the Russian Post,” said Vladimir Pivovarov, a representative of the developer company. The messenger has been tested for about a year.
The “Post of Russia” informs that the department has been looking for a domestic product for a long time, but so far “there was nothing more interesting”. There are some developments that offer the exchange of text or files, but there is no aggregate analogue. “We need a secure messenger, including for management. There are plans to introduce such a system, ”said Maxim Markov, head of the information security department at the Russian Post. The system can be implemented by the end of this year.
"Sibrus" is a cross-platform messenger (supported by Windows, Mac OS, Linux), it can also work on mobile devices running Android and iOS.

Now many state organizations are prohibited from using foreign communication software at work. For example, the Moscow police were banned from using virtually all postal services and instant messengers, except for the MVD’s own postal service. At the same time, the trade union of police officers
offers to buy Telegram from Pavel Durov in order to obtain a secure means of communication.
