During the development of computer technology, machines learned how to perform a wide range of tasks previously available only to humans. This work in the workplace, and data analysis, and driving a car. It got to the point that people begin to fear the loss of work - after all, robots do not get tired and do not go on strike, but function around the clock. But in most cases, when it comes to replacing a human with robots, it is nevertheless meant production. And few people fear the invasion of robot writers.
And computers are already writing novels, and are coping with this very well. One of the programs, created by Japanese developers,
wrote a short novel that reached the final of the
Khosi Siniti literary contest. When writing her work, the program received a set of input data: an approximate story line, a gender of characters, a number of phrases and sentences that should be used in the course of work. After that, the system began creative work. The finished novel is called “The Day When a Computer Will Write a Novel” (The Day A Computer Writes A Novel).
The jury evaluating the works, knew that this novel was written by computer. And in general, access to participation in the Khosi Shinichi contest is open to AI for several years. Now, out of 1,450 works, 11 were written by computers. But only one novel, which was not created by man, reached the final of the competition. “I was surprised by the work because it was a well-structured novel. But there are some problems that need to be solved to get the award, for example, drawing characters, ”said one of the judges of the competition.

According to many experts, in the future, AI can not only solve problems that have the answer (for example, play chess and go), but also work as writers, be active in areas that require creativity, intuition, and ability to act illogically. Anyway, it is already clear that a young and fragile AI requires protection from external influence - for example, a teen chat bot launched on Twitter to communicate with people quickly
became a racist .
