A few days later the right holders in the face of AZAPI noticed what was happening. The team of "experts" checked the functionality of the bot, and finding out that everything works, as stated, the right holders began to act. Namely - turned to Telegram with the requirement to block the bot . The representatives of AZAPI associated their actions with the recommendations of Roskomnadzor, which were previously reported on Geektimes. Thus, experts from AZAPI tried to find out the source of pirated content by analyzing the data packets received when downloading the book through a bot.

It turned out that when working with a mobile application for iOS, the data packet passes through Apple servers, which makes it difficult to determine the source. “Perhaps Apple’s servers are the ultimate place to store books. Although the possibility that they are only a buffer is not excluded, receiving data from the Telegram server ”, - the representatives of AZAPI comment on the situation.
After trying to find out the source, the right holders decided to file a Telegram administration complaint. And after the company did not respond to the complaint within 48 hours, a complaint was filed to Apple with Google. They can put pressure on Telegram, and they can remove the application from the store, ”said Ryabyko.
