The Russian alternative to MS Office was added to the registry of Russian software, and the foreign LibreOffice was rejected.
Perhaps, Russian officials and other civil servants will soon have to abandon the usual Microsoft Office. Yesterday, by decision of the Expert Council for Russian Software, another 155 software products were included in the Russian software registry . The total number of programs in the registry has more than doubled and reached 242.
“We need to refrain from including controversial positions in the register - after all, this is the register of the Russian software, and absolutely not“ clones ”of foreign software or parts of their key components, said Nikolai Nikiforov, chairman of the board. “If the claimed software contains components of foreign products that are responsible for key functionality, then experts are entitled to refuse to include such a product in the register.”
Free software has the same requirements. On this basis, the expert council rejected the application with software based on open LibreOffice.
The list includes many developments of 1C, ABBYY and Kaspersky Lab, as well as several little-known programs listed below. However, Postgres Pro (a free alternative to Oracle ) cannot be called a little-known program.
Among the software programs and databases added to the register, such classes as organization process management systems, information systems for solving industry-specific tasks, monitoring and control systems, information security tools, server middleware are more common. In addition, the register includes a product for a previously unrepresented software class - geographic information and navigation systems.
