The Kotaku resource browser came across a beta version of the NES emulator in the browser - but not simple, but transforming the usual two-dimensional games into three-dimensional. 3DNes Emulator - an experiment on the automatic generation of the third dimension in classic platformers. The emulator is written in JavaScript and works in the latest versions of the Firefox browser.

As seen in the demo, the emulator adds a little bit of the third dimension to classic games, adding shadows and horizontal surfaces to vertical ones.

The emulator allows you to upload your ROM (images of games) by URL - that is, files located in the public domain.



While the emulator is in beta and is not very stable, in addition, it is not able to download all the images of games.
