Replacing halogen spot lamps in the false ceilings (they are spotlights) with LED lights, many faced a problem: the lighting was comfortable with old lamps, and LED spots began to dazzle - it was impossible to look at them.

In fact, the cause is not at all in the light source and the LEDs have nothing to do with it. The reason is in a different angle of illumination. In halogen spots with GU10 and GU5.3 bases, the illumination angle is very narrow - 25-35 °. When the lamp is installed in the ceiling, we look at it from a large angle and only a small amount of light comes into our eyes - the lamp does not blind.

Most LED spotlights have an illumination angle of about 100 ° and when we look at such a lamp even at a large angle, we get a lot of light that blinds.
Fortunately, there are LED spots with a narrow angle of illumination. These are all spots IKEA, Philips, Osram and some spots of other companies. Their distinctive feature is one or several lenses.

Spot with a wide angle of illumination can be used in small rooms (for example, in the bathroom and toilet) - where the view never falls on the light source. If the spots are located in a large room and the light sources can be seen from the usual view, only spots with a narrow beam of light are suitable. On the site lamptest.ru you can sort them by lighting angle up to 50 °:
