A popular music performer, Kanye West, who had plans to sue The Pirate Bay,
got into using a torrent tracker . In the photo, which he recently posted on his own twitter, you can see the details that indicate an attempt to download an unlicensed copy of the program for working with music.
This is all the more ironic because West recently
broke out in an angry tirade towards The Pirate Bay and threatened to sue him for distributing his latest album, The Life of Pablo. The album is still the most downloaded in the “Music” section.
At the same time, releasing the album, West insisted that it be available
exclusively through the paid subscription service Tidal , which he owns with another artist, Jay Z - probably in an attempt to earn even more money. However, instead of massively subscribing to an unpopular service, users simply began to distribute the album using the pirated method.

The photo from the tweet shows a monitor with a browser open on the YouTube tab. But more interesting are the other tabs, from which you can see only part of the title. For example, the second on the left is “Pirate Bay Torrent Xfe ..”, which seems to refer to Xfer Records.
One of the most popular programs of the company is the Serum plugin - it is named among the best plug-ins on
another page , opened in the artist's browser. The tab itself does not relate to the site The Pirate Bay, but points to one of the link aggregators, which is now closed.
And the next tab is titled "MediaDownloader", which is a hint of trying to download music from the YouTube video.
Having made a logical conclusion, deadmau5 twitter user, who is one of the founders of Xfer Records, decided, like many, that Kanye was a pirate like everyone else and described his actions in very impartial terms.
What made the super popular artist download a plug-in to a $ 200 music program instead of buying it? Perhaps the recent admission that West
owes as much as $ 53 million — he even asked Zuckerberg for a billion to make ends meet. The artist himself has already hurried to declare that everything that happened is just a complicated joke, designed to draw attention to the problem of torrents.
