Logitech MX Revolution on Linux

The other day, I had a desire to make the above-mentioned mouse work in Linux as I need. At the very least, the scroll wheel is set up (the owners of this mouse know that without drivers, clicking on the scroll wheel changes its mode and does not act as the middle mouse button).

Googling, stumbled upon the manuals for setting up this piece of iron through editing the Xorg config, but in the soul there was a hope for the existence of at least some software. And I found her.
A certain Froese, posted it on the Andrew Hill blog . Called it "revoco". Link to the software itself - http://goron.de/~froese/revoco-0.1.tar.gz
Usage:
Usage:
revoco free free spinning mode
revoco click click-to-click mode
revoco manual[=button[,button]] manual mode change via button
revoco auto[=speed[,speed]] automatic mode change (up, down)
revoco battery query battery status
revoco mode query scroll wheel mode
revoco reconnect initiate reconnection

Prefixing the mode with 'temp-' (ie temp-free) switches the mode
temporarily, otherwise it becomes the default mode after power up.

Button numbers:
0 previously set button 7 wheel left tilt
3 middle (wheel button) 8 wheel right tilt
4 rear thumb button 9 thumb wheel forward
5 front thumb button 11 thumb wheel backward
6 find button 13 thumb wheel pressed

From which it is clear that the program allows you to control both the scroll ring and assign actions to the buttons.
The simplest is to cut down the switching modes of the ring by clicking on it - revoco free
