The Chinese company Fengtao Software, which produces
DVDfab software for decrypting and copying DVD / BluRay,
announced that it will not include in its program the ability to decrypt the next generation of 4K BluRay discs.
In a press release sent out by the company, it is indicated that the new standard, the details of which
became known thanks to the
cracking of Sony , divides the protection of BluRay 4K into two types - basic and advanced. Advanced protection requires the player to directly connect to the Internet to verify the authenticity and authenticity of the encrypted content.
Fengtao Software hastened to declare that this system will not be hacked, just a few days after the famous company SlySoft ceased to exist. Under pressure from copyright dealers, the developers of the AnyDVD program, which can decrypt DVD and BluRay on the fly, have closed the project site.
Fengtao Software has already had legal troubles and received a preliminary injunction on its activities in 2014 due to a complaint from the administration issuing licenses for
AACS protection.

The press release notes that disputes about whether the owner of the disc has the right to make copies of it, have not subsided for more than ten years, and that, in principle, tools for cracking even the new generation of discs may well appear.
