Humavox , which has attracted venture capital investments, is developing a cup-shaped wireless charging that can charge several devices at once,
according to Nikkei Technology. The development was presented at the Mobile World Congress 2016, which was held February 22-25 in Barcelona.
An Israeli charger can charge low-power gadgets such as fitness bracelets and hearing aids. Currently, the “bowl” can transfer 1 W (200 mA, 5 V) charge, but Humavox plans to increase the power to 2.5 W (500 mA, 5 V). The device uses a method that transmits electricity using broadband waves. The frequency can be set in the range from 2.1 G to 5.8 GHz in accordance with the needs and standards adopted in various countries.
