Good evening, night, day.
So I decided to share with the community my experience with the VMware Server package.
Let's start with the installation, it usually does not cause problems.
But it also happens:
Well, I didn’t think that there would be any problems installing VMware Server under Windows XP SP2.
On August 28, a new version was released (for those who follow).
http://www.vmware.com/download/server/And now the hour has come X!
Yes, yes, yes, I started at home, not at work. Well, why risk working practices.
I run the installer waiting ... waiting ... waiting ... hanging ... :(
I complete all the processes, I try to repeat, nothing fails.
A message is displayed that the package with the application is installed, you need to remove and reinstall the installation.
OK…
')
Go to the installation and removal of programs: no!
Cleaning the registry: CCleaner, RegCleaner - does not help.
We try to put the version below 1.0.5 - an error 1713 is issued.
This is where it saved me, a few requests for the community vmware, and we find a very interesting utility for cleaning failed installations:

Found a solution and this is important. I wish you success, when a problem appears.
In the following articles, I will try to describe several techniques for managing virtual machines.
Optional: for failed installations, you can use the
