MediaTek Labs invites you to a series of March webinars on the development of smart home gadgets

And to make it even smarter, in March 2016, MediaTek Labs holds three online seminars for Internet of things developers! Participation is free, but registration is required. Each webinar will last 30 minutes, then a question and answer session.

March 3, 2016 will be an online seminar from MediaTek Labs, dedicated to the development of peripheral devices on the Arduino and Python using the MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo breadboard.

Want your gadget to work over Wi-Fi? The 30-minute webinar, which MediaTek Labs technical consultant Ajit Key Pi will conduct, will demonstrate how to connect external sensors with MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo and make a microcontroller and MT7688 on Arduino and Python.

Three ways to design peripherals using MediaTek LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo will be covered:

  1. through basic UART connection;
  2. via Firmata protocol;
  3. through the Bridge Library at Arduino Yun.

On March 8, 2016, MediaTek Labs will conduct an online seminar on the implementation of Bluetooth Low Energy technology using the MediaTek LinkIt ONE mock-up board.

MediaTek Labs technical consultant Philip Handshin will give an introductory course on Bluetooth Low Energy technology, explain the use of the General Attribute Profile (GATT), and then demonstrate to Arduino how to use the MediaTek LinkIt ONE developer kit to establish communication between the card and the smartphone.
