About Xiaomi Mi5: flaws, first impressions and live photos from Barcelona

However, I took a few photos “in haste” and was surprised to find that the front camera in 5 cases out of 5 made several blurred images. We can not exclude the factor of shaking hands, but in her behavior she reminded me of a camera from the first model of the HTC One, with “ultra-pixels”. At the same time, the image in the viewfinder looks normal.



But the main camera Mi5 attributed to the shortcomings is simply impossible. Xiaomi had to arrange a battle with the Samsung S7 camera in terms of speed, it was these two devices that in “automatic mode” took photos fantastically fast. At the same time, both the focus and the saving of the snapshot took place quickly.

As for the program part, but in the case of Xaiomi, the rule “saw one, means saw everything” works. The speed of the MIUI response of the Mi5 interface works as expected “instantly”, but without overtaking, for example, my Mi4c - in order to feel the “power” you will need to install games or other demanding applications.

What can I say about the new Mi5, after a personal acquaintance? Considering the pricing policy of Xiaomi and if you have watched their products earlier - you can safely take Mi5 for yourself. Some stores have already opened up the possibility of pre-order * . Without exaggeration, this device has a “fantastic” power reserve, and if you are satisfied with the custom MIUI shell, there is no reason to restrain yourself.



Is Mi5 close to the ideal? I think no. An experiment with glossy surfaces was made to please modern fashion, and many solutions (touch-sensitive buttons, a curved S6 and S7 cover, but not a screen, and even speaker-like-you-know-what holes) were made in search of the very, original and unique design solutions Xiaomi.
