Lecture "Cold Treasures of the Far Out of the Land"
2015 can be called the year of the dwarf planets - the Dawn probe went into orbit around Ceres, New Horizons flew past Pluto. And the beginning of 2016 was marked by talking about a distant and mysterious ninth planet. It's time to talk about the external solar system. My next lecture “Cold Treasures of the Far East Land” is devoted to this. It is distant and cold, but it keeps a lot of interesting things. Methane rivers and icy shores, under-ice oceans with possible life, asteroid detectives, discoveries at the tip of the feather and the "eyes" of automata.
It's funny, but the story of this lecture is somewhat illustrated by the proverb “there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped.” The fact is that I usually gave lectures in the anti-cafe, but there was an overlay here - the time after coordination and the announcement turned out to be taken. I began to think whether to look for another platform or change the time of the lecture, but suddenly I received a call from the Ufa planetarium and invited me to give a lecture. For my part, I express my gratitude to the team of the planetarium and personally to the director Anatoly Pavlovich Denisov for providing a wonderful platform. I hope our cooperation will continue.
This time I decided to slightly change the format of the lecture. First of all, I shortened its duration to about an hour (before the lectures went from an hour and a half, and one day, when no one stopped me, I talked for almost four hours). I think this format will be a little easier for perception. Also, the text completely disappeared from the slides, which, in theory, should simplify the perception of the material. Feel free to write reviews and comments, I will be grateful for the feedback.
As usual, the presentation is available in ODP format , use on health. ')
