Computer enthusiast and modder with nickname
Dr. Moddnstine presented its
new work on squeezing modern computer stuffing into the IBM Aptiva 66MHz 486DX2 computer case, released in 1992. In the
case settled modern motherboard with i7-6700K percent. But the main achievement is to consider a modified floppy disk drive 3.5 ", converted to read SD-cards.

')
From the front, the authenticity of the Baby AT-case is almost beyond doubt - and this is because the SD card is fed into the reader using a 3.5 ”floppy disk. the cards were easy to insert and remove. In this case, it was a 128 Gb card, which is equivalent to the volume of 88574 3.5-inch disks, the standard capacity of which was 1.44 Mb.

To work with the contacts of the card in the case of the drive, the modder built a reader made of a sawed connector from the cable to connect the drive - the distance between the contacts of the connector matched the distance between the contacts of the SD card. For greater authenticity, the drive LED is also connected to the desired contact, and flashes when reading from the card.

In order not to disturb the surface of the 5 "plugs, the craftsman has built a USB port for the front panel into the front panel of the DVD drive.

The project has the following specifications:
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
