Since 2014, 19 deaths have been registered in India from 49 out of 49 worldwide, including two in 2016. Selfies have become a problem for the whole world, including in Russia, where several teenagers died.

In India, there were nineteen total, and the last two were in 2016. In February 2016, an eighteen-year-old student died from a cliff near the dam. But not only he drowned, but another man who tried to save a teenager. In January, an eighteen-year-old girl drowned in a popular tourist destination in Mumbai. A city police spokesman says: “This is a new problem for us. We identified the dangerous points in Mumbai. We want to protect people from such misfortunes. ”

Other countries have also taken steps to prevent people from dying in hazardous areas. Some metro stations in Japan have banned selfie sticks so that passengers do not fall under trains.
