Of all the employees of Russian companies convicted of insider trading in 2015, 31% are managers. And most of all - from Moscow or St. Petersburg. In second place are the heads of departments who have access to information of the highest level, and in third place are IT specialists. Also among the insiders last year appeared the developers. More than half of the companies in 2015 faced attempts to steal corporate data by laid-off employees.

According to
Searchinform, in 2015, 51% of Russian organizations were faced with data theft by retired employees. Most often such cases occurred in Yekaterinburg - 67%. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, 54% of companies encountered a similar situation. In Krasnodar - only 35%.

Among the information stolen in 2015:
- project documentation
- databases with customer data
- information about the investment activity of the company
- commercial offers
- personal data of employees
- information on movements in customer accounts
Violators of information security rules were punished with a reprimand, dismissal, fined and deprived of bonuses. In Novosibirsk, 49% of companies part with such employees.

Only 11 of the 100 companies that have experienced data leaks apologize to customers. 88% prefer to keep silent, believing that no one will suffer and the damage is not significant. 12% of companies do not know if they have leaks.

The object of protection often becomes e-mail. External carriers under control took 21% of companies. The HTTP channel is controlled by 19% of organizations. Skype is considered a dangerous channel for the dissemination of information by only 8% of companies.
9% follow the data sent to print. Apparently, considering that insiders can only take out printed documents.


The
study involved 1700 specialists (mostly heads of information security departments) from 25 cities of Russia and the CIS.
