Using Bluetooth Headphones in Ubuntu

Hello, hello!

The “Library of Enlightenment” blog has been open more than a week ago, and “people who own a blind ten-finger set” have not yet asked a single question. So I dare to be the first :)

And I have a problem. Yesterday, I became the happy owner of a Jabra BT620s Bluetooth headset. HP Pavilion dv6147eu laptop with Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) available. I'm new to Ubuntu, so I apologize if I ask about something obvious.
')
Required:
1. Set the output of any laptop sound to the headset. I would very much like to be able to quickly (or at least just not very time consuming) switch to the usual output on the speakers.
2. (If possible) Configure the work of this headset via USB, that is, you can listen to music while charging via USB cable. (Such a function is declared and works in Windows.)

What is already available and done:
There are standard drivers for the Bluetooth module. It was possible to make the headset work in players based on GStreamer (with the help of this instruction ) with switching the audio output in one click.

That does not work:
When listening to music (for example last.fm) or watching videos in the browser, the sound is sent to the speakers or connected ordinary headphones.

I was looking for some kind of Bluetooth-manager, which you can quickly connect a headset. (In Windows, when you connect a headset in Bluesoleil, the sound immediately switches to the headset without any additional dancings. When using standard Microsoft drivers, you must select the audio output in the player or change the default audio output.) I tried to find something standard or additional to control the sound. So far, unsuccessfully, perhaps because of the “screw” thinking and insufficient knowledge for the effective selection of keywords.

I would like to not only find a solution, but also learn more about the work of Ubuntu with sound and Bluetooth. I would be grateful if you tell useful and understandable sources.
Of course, if something happens, the article from me :)
