“Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe Winter 2016

Last weekend, an international gathering “Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe Winter” took place near the town of Rakov (Republic of Belarus, Minsk Region, Volozhinsky District):

Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe itself (LVEE) was born in Minsk in 2004, and since 2005 it has regularly collected all those who are not indifferent to open source software under the same roof. From its very first meeting, experts and enthusiasts from neighboring countries became interested in the rally. Since then, the gathering annually takes on an international composition, united by a certain spirit, idea. This time it is: the Republic of Belarus, Finland, Hungary, Norway, the Russian Federation, Slovakia, Ukraine.

More than 10 years have passed since the distant 2005, and the event still adheres to its wide format. But what's the format there! Many of those who stood at the origins, not averse to look at the warm tube LVEE. Of course, such a meeting has its own legends. It's like a sauce, a side effect, or something indivisible. This is Cheusov, whose report is ready to be celebrated without a report (the years of appearance without reports will not help, Lesha):

this is Mikhail Shigorin, the very fact of wanting to add a comment which already shifts the grid of reports over time, and the prefix "short" makes Kostyuk once again make sure to turn off the conference system and use 1 radio microphone for questions, this was the right decision ... That's what On February 14, on the eve of February 14, an idiotic tradition is to use a pink theme on the official website of the rally in memory of the theme kde Fluffy Bunny, from which they themselves are dazzled. Well, about the norm of observing a developer writing a patch for the kernel here and now, in the corridor or on a table near the river, I am completely silent. In general, LVEE is an independent organism. Open source. Naturally, it has something to work on.

Today, the wide LVEE format is more relevant than ever: there are plenty of narrowly focused conferences, and there are only more general specialists. The need for a broad LVEE theme and closes.
In the framework of LVEE Winter 2016, 18 reports were read out, the discussion of which was also discussed in an informal setting with kebabs and mulled wine.

The conference ended with the awarding of the best speakers and a change in the weather, which presented the participants with a winter fairy tale.

This time, according to the results of the voting, Andrei Savchenko, Daniel Nagy, Andrei Zakharevich were awarded a memorable sign from the organizing committee.

PS Thanks to all the participants and organizers! It seems that my attributes came to taste my cat:
