More than successful campaign results show how tired users are of the most recent ways of internet marketing.
So much so that they are willing to pay a serious enough amount for such a device: from 129 Euros now, while the device is funded by Kickstarter.

After the end of the fundraising program, they plan to sell the device for 199 Euros in the standard version and 249 in the “family” (where the creation of several user profiles and the parental control function will be added)

Interestingly, eBlocker is based on the Banana Pi M2 board, with a retail value of about $ 50 and Linux. But, ready to work out of the box, the device, as you can see, can be sold much more expensively than the hardware, the case and the software cost separately.
So why did eBlocker like so many sponsors?
The creators of the device focus mainly on getting rid of customers from advertising and tracking their activity on the Internet. The main examples are the following situations:

And judging by the fact that almost 2500 people have already become sponsors of the project - these are the threats that scare modern users.
Despite the fact that such tasks can be easily solved using software methods, for free, and not spending too much time on it, it seems that people are attracted by the opportunity to “just turn on and forget”
Perhaps now we are witnessing the birth of a new market for consumer devices - anonymizer blockers working out of the box, worth tangible money, and not requiring users to do anything other than plugging in the socket and cable.
