The expected, but no less significant event from this has happened today in the area of using autonomous transport - Google has been granted a patent for an unmanned vehicle for delivering goods directly to the customer’s door. The car will be equipped with separate compartments, which can be opened with a personal identification number (PIN) or credit card. The only thing is whether it will be faster and cheaper than ordering on Amazon Prime Air or after the inevitable entry of Uber into the world of unmanned delivery.

The patent says that the car will use a combination of sensors: radar, video cameras and laser rangefinder modules, which will allow to recognize what is happening on the road. When ordering, customers will be able to choose a way to unlock the compartment and even get a message when the car approaches the destination. If suddenly the truck gets stuck in traffic, a delay message will be sent to the buyer.

Most of the patent is covered by the maximum number of fields of activity. But Google is not just paying their lawyers. The car can use as its network platform laptops, tablets, handheld computers, TVs, even irons and coffee makers with Bluetooth or NFC interfaces. This can give a significant impetus to the further development of VPN, LAN, WAN or MAN-networks.
