A total of 15% of Americans at least once turned to the services of a website or mobile dating application - which is 4% more than in 2013. Of these, 12% used sites at least once, which is 3% more than two years ago. 9% of people at least once installed a mobile application, which is already 3 times more than two years ago (in 2013 only 3% of people were engaged in this).
At the same time, the survey data on the impressions received from friends and close people with whom the respondents communicated, say that 41% of Americans personally know someone who has ever used online dating, and 29% know the people who built thus relationships, up to creating a family.

It also turned out that people who used online dating speak of the experience gained as a whole positively - unlike those who did not use them. For example, the opinion of “online dating is a good way to meet people” is supported by 80% of people who used this method, and only 55% of people who know about it only by hearsay.
There is also a division of opinions about this way of dating among women and men. 55% of women who have tried online dating claim that this method is more dangerous than others, while only 38% of men hold the same opinion.
