Let Yandex be very proud that this is a “new version of our service, in which a map of the world is presented, a lot of more detailed maps and satellite images of many regions,” but let me criticize the service based on the map of Belarus.
Everything seems to be good, and the pistes are signed, there are even small villages, water reservoirs are indicated, including swamps. But there is one problem, the map, you see, went to Yandex from Sadovsky's grandfather ... But seriously, the satellite images belong to the period of the 70s, and a schematic interpretation of the maps is based on them. According to Yandex, Minsk ends in the area of the second ring. There is no Southwest or Uruchya. In Grodno, there is no Vishnevets, only its beginnings, nothing about Ninechatka (and she started being built in the early 80s).
At the same Google Maps service, large settlements have long been in excellent quality. The quality of the rest of the country compared to Yandex is presented in a somewhat better and fresh form.
Anyway. Let's go back to the maps from Yandex. The beta version allows you to find any location with a population of over 50 thousand people. True service does not go far beyond the search engine. If it is easy to find a place, then you need to turn to other resources for the rest: no route planning or geographical coordinates.
