Acapela Alyona Voice Engine

In July of this year, the company Acapela , the developers of the popular Russian-language voice module Nikolay, released a new Russian, female voice engine, which was named Alena. Works with a frequency of 22 kHz. In terms of the quality of the synthesized speech, Alena is far ahead of Nicholas, in the opinion of users, the timbre of voice and intonation is more pleasant than that of the Katerina engine from ScanSoft RealSpeak.

In my opinion, the version is slightly damp, which is probably caused by an attempt to outrun the company LOQUENDO in the battle of giants in the Russian field, which also intends to release the Russian voice engine in 2008 (the table below is on the right).

Together with the engine comes Lexicon Manager - a dictionary editor that allows you to change the pronunciation of words both literally and phonetically.

Demo- version you can download on the official website

ps In this forum, you can find already quite decent dictionaries for Alena.
