Bypass password protection in documents ms word. (OFFICE11)

This information is provided only for review.

And the devil pulled me to put the password on this document and the devil helped me to forget it ...
Googling and opening in open office did not help. And then I remembered that the Word is able to save documents as html ... not that (formatting was beaten), but already close.

Then I noticed the xml, the document was immediately saved and opened in a text editor with utf8 support. A search for “pass” issued the following:

<w:documentProtection w:edit="read-only" w:enforcement="on" w:unprotectPassword="D218CFF4"/>

')
Deleting this “extra line” returned me the opportunity to edit the document.

It was done on OFFICE11 (2003), possibly working with OFFICE12 (2007).
For Excel and the like did not check.

Open questions:
How are things going with this in ODF?
Does it work with 2007 office?
Does it work with excel / ppt?

ps put a password on the document is useless and harmful to nerve cells
pss now not greedy
