11 hours after launch, Google Chrome is already used by 1.18% of Internet users, according to Net Applications, the most authoritative provider of browser statistics. The share of Opera, according to their data for August , is 0.74%.

For comparison, the share of IE8 beta, grew to a maximum of 0.23% .
