China has banned the opening of new Internet cafes

For the whole of this year in China, an order has been issued by the authorities to strengthen control over the work of Internet cafes. The same document introduced a ban on issuing permits necessary for opening new establishments of this kind.

The order indicates the reasons why in 2007 there are no grounds for creating new Internet cafes. According to them, the decision was made taking into account the ratio of current supply and demand in the market, as well as the situation in the field of control over the activities of Internet cafes. In addition, the country is preparing a project on the prevention of Internet addiction, reports Xinhua . They will deal with the structures of public health and education.

Now in China there are about 113 thousand Internet cafes. They sell their services strictly to people over 18 years old.
