A portal dedicated to DIY.
I hope many of you remember the magazines "young technician", "do it yourself", "technology of the youth", "radio" and others. Unfortunately, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the culture of technical creativity of young people almost died (however, along with many circles, the “young technician.” Even our radio school at ROSTO (the former DOSAAF) took the premises and made an office. But fortunately there is internet!
There are a lot of websites in the “me and my two crafts” style in runet that are haphazardly distributed over free hosting sites. So why not make the Russian version of the site instructables.com ? The only thing that I want to do is that on the sites there would be not only descriptions of home-made products, but also some theoretical foundations, such as on the site efunda.com
A year and a half ago, I tried to do something similar. Unfortunately, there is practically nothing to brag about, that's why it’s rather not “I am promoting”, but “I am looking for like-minded people for joint development of the site”. I am not a programmer and website builder from me, so all I could do is to put joomla at the worst, connect to smf and install wacko wiki separately (which had to be blocked due to the invasion of bots). The idea was that anyone could post their work on the wiki. In principle, even joomla can be waived. Hosting in order to save homemade - under the table is my old celeron 1000 with 256 memory for win2003 and distributes the Internet to my work computer, at the same time hosting the site, p2p and FTP segment. The channel is megabit.

In general, everything that happened can be viewed on licrym.org (earlier the portal had the name mind.telenet.ru, but later I bought a domain, and I made a redirect on the old address, some photos still have an old copyright). The best articles from there I transfer here to DIY blog . (I hope they will be interesting to read, and you never know what will happen with my server). Almost all the articles on the site are written by me, I try to create new articles fairly regularly, but my studies also take time) There are enough books in my home library to create about half the content of efunda.com
If you want to participate in the development of the project, or have any ideas - write. My knowledge for this is not enough. The project was originally non-commercial, so I cannot offer salaries (((I really hope that I’ll manage to take the empty seat of the flagship DIY movement in Russia)
