Pixar Tour
There are many photosets around the Pixar campus, but since there are talented people working there, the design of the rooms is not so rare. I present one of the tours, sponsored by Joe Utichi . Photoset Mayevsky - the height of the cartoon Wall-E.
Let me remind you that the campus is located in the town of Emeryville, San Francisco, California.
Gates of heaven
Having passed from the parking along a beautiful alley, through the park, we find ourselves in the main building.
Before we get to the main building, we will see a new installation of Luxo Jr. and his ball, which looks a bit bigger than it was in 1986.
Behind Luxo Jr. we have a wonderful garden with an amphitheater, which is used for presentations and outdoor events.
For sports, Pixar provided employees with a huge swimming pool and volleyball court. The most important thing to remind the employee is that the rest is not dimensionless in time, therefore there are large hours.
In the summer, company employees can bask in the sun at lunch and discuss projects.
Inside, the main pixar atrium is the epicenter of simplicity, designed so that different departments of the company can easily intersect at a lunch or coffee break.
In the cafe, employees can buy at affordable prices, savory cookies and soft drinks, no beer was found - how do they come up with sober characters? :)
On the other side of the atrium - “mailroom”, and to the right - unfortunately closed for repairs during the visit, a souvenir shop.
But the most exciting room is “sharpening”, peanut butter is present here, as well as milk with a wide assortment of quick breakfasts, and all this is free of charge - that is, for nothing.
The next part of the atrium is the playroom. Tennis table, table football and hockey, gaming consoles with a set of games, including Wall-E, as well as a billiard table - it's all here.
The design of the atrium varies with each film. Give Vall-And on every pillar!
... and on the walls are awesome fragments from films.
At the entrance to each department is a sign with a warning about the prohibition of entry into the territory without accompanying persons.
The animation department is already working on Toys Story 3 and the unknown Up for me. Each employee can arrange their workplace, at their discretion, this one did everything in the style of a garden house.
This is how a render farm looks like. In general, if you are a computer - for you this is paradise.
A cinema where employees can watch movies from which they draw inspiration, as well as see the novelty of their own production before everyone else.
