The transition from optical to laser mice was a rather important stage in “muscle building”. But now, it seems, Microsoft is ready to take us to the next stage of evolution. True, how - is not yet clear.
A mysterious banner with the slogan "Goodbye, laser mice!" And the date of September 9, 2008 appeared on the

It is known that on September 9, a large presentation in Seattle was assigned to Microsoft's hardware division, where new developments, including new mice and keyboards, will be presented.
It is logical to assume that some new technology will be introduced, which will replace the built-in lasers in the mice (for example, they can present the
Blue Track : a mouse on LED indicators with a wide-angle lens, a photo under the screen).

But it is also possible that a kind of
fundamentally new input device will be presented that has nothing to do with familiar mice.
