One of the editors of Wikipedia turned out to be an impostor.

One of the most active editors of articles published in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia , bearing the nickname Essjay and presented as a professor in the field of religion, turned out to be a 24-year-old youngster named Ryan Jordan, who picked up knowledge in several colleges.



This is stated in the material published in the journal New Yorker. Essjay himself admitted that he has no academic degrees (although the article says the opposite about him ), and all this is in fact a joke. It is interesting that the head of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales (Jimmy Wales) does not see what happened in any crime.
